Letter headed 27 Hopetoun Ave, Mosman and dated 12 September 1960: 'Dear Mr Menzies: As promised by my fond parent, herewith my two small efforts which I send with diffidence. My wife and daughter were so delighted to have the opportunity of meeting you and Dame Pattie on Saturday. Dad is still glowing with the pleasure of your visit and your kindness to him.'
